We are currently recruiting for an outstanding HOD for Art, from years 7-13 within a mixed independent school which is one of the top schools within the UK. With grand groups, high tech classrooms and facilities that have been built to allow for high performance.
The performance of this school is well above the national average and have a consistent high performance each year therefore you will be required to teach all lessons to a high standard; ensuring that you get the best out of each student.
As a head of department, you will be required to lead the Art team; giving a clear vision and direction to work, identifying key areas for improvements and planning appropriate actions. You will be managing both the people and resources associated with the department and ensure monitoring of the of learning experienced by the department. You will ensure that you report to SLT and Governors on the progress of students.
You will need:
* Qualified Teaching Status
* Have experienced being a head of department with a track record of good performance
* Able to travel to Bishop Stortford and start in January 2021
